Criminal defence lawyer, called to the Bar in Montréal in 1987, Me Monterosso practices exclusively in criminal law. He covers the full field of criminal law: classical criminal law (violence, drug trafficking, armed robbery, sexual infractions, terrorism, and generally all infractions regarding persons or property), financial crimes (fraud and corruption), statutory penal law, and penal traffic law.
Founding partner of the firm Monterosso Giroux Avocats, Me Monterosso decided to take a well-earned retirement. He continues to act as counsel with the firm Marie-Hélène Giroux Avocats.
In 2011 he received the Robert Sachitele prize, given to the lawyer having given a remarkable performance in accomplishing a mandate of defence.
In 2014, the Association des avocats et avocates de la défense (AQAAD) awarded him with a prize of excellence for his contribution to the advancement of law.
