Me Cynthia Payer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Quebec in Montreal and a member of the Bar since 2019.

 

At the end of her internship, she remained with Marie-Hélène Giroux’s team as a lawyer. She practices mainly in the field of criminal and penal law, but also works in the field of immigration law.

 

She represents the firm’s clients before all legal institutions. She specializes in both writing and advocacy. She wrote several briefs and presentations for the Court of Appeal, and later leave applications for the Supreme Court of Canada. She has pleaded numerous times before the Court of Appeal of Quebec and the Court of Quebec. She represents her clients on a daily basis before the Municipal Court, the Court of Quebec, the Superior Court and also occasionally before the Immigration and Refugee Board.

 

Me Payer has a keen interest in jury cases and pleading. For her, preserving the constitutional rights of her clients is of the utmost importance.
